Introduction
There were two parts to the assignment. Part one called for the creation of an individual web page for a group web channel. We were given a good variety of subject areas to choose from for our individual pages. Part two required a word processor document providing a reflection on module1.
Part 1 - Individual Page
My choice of page reflects a personal interest of mine; fellwalking. The page had to provide links to differing aspects within our chosen subject. My approach was to provide links to pages with an informing content, particularly safety issues. The research needed was quite extensive, but I believe the score I obtained provided a good reward for my efforts.
Part 2 - Module 1 Reflection
This was to include a reflection on computing with confidence and the groupwork in creating the web channel. This saw the beginnings of my discontent regarding the groupwork within our particular group. The short paragraph below is my conclusion to that part of the document:
"There was no plan. Participation was minimal. As a group event, the 3-week period covered by this activity, was a non-event. It did not happen."
Tutor Comments
My tutor provided me with an excellent score for my work. His comments were extremely encouraging, particularly with regard to the groupwork and involvement in the group.
Reflection
My resolve from this TMA was to put in the same effort for the remainder of the course and persist with group involvement. My regret is that I may have not been persistent enough in regard to the groupwork.
