The Lake District is the place where I like to spend my weekends. I love it. The sheer magnificence of the place enthrals me. Fellwalking is my favourite past-time. The space, tranquility and overwhelming beauty of the fells keeps pulling me back like a magnet. Although these pages are principally about fellwalking, there will be other, low-level walks included.
These pages are by no means a dedicated site to get readers safely from point A to point B over the Lakeland fells. They are simply pages that I have written. If it is detailed guidance you seek, then please look elsewhere.
An important point to note at this point is the dangers that can be posed by the fells. There is an advice page that I urge any reader intending to go on the fells to read and take note of.
